PNA General Meeting (Thu, Nov 20, 7-9p)

When a basic need like hunger rises sharply—as it has across the country in recent months—organizations like neighborhood associations can and should step up to support our food-insecure neighbors. Last week, PPCC reached out to PNA to help recruit volunteers for a proposed weekly Free Food Market in our neighborhood. Thanks to an overwhelming response by our neighbors, the Market will open just one week later, this coming Monday! At this General Meeting, we’ll provide an update on how the first day went.

As 2025 comes to a close, two long-term PNA initiatives are also reaching completion: the Rosa Parks sign-cap project and the effort to Save Rosemont Court. We’ll share the latest news on Rosemont Court and outline our plans for the upcoming public dedication of the newly installed Rosa Parks sign caps in Piedmont.

We’ll also share details about the festive Annual Holiday Party, hosted at Vic and Jude Vencill’s home, which will take the place of our December General Meeting.

Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be another active year for PNA. A new Board of Directors will begin its term; there is optimism for progress on the N Missouri Greenspace project, and the History Committee is poised to launch.

The Portland NET preparedness session that was originally planned for this meeting was pushed back to early 2026.

The meeting agenda, including the Zoom link, will be posted online the day before.

We hope you will join us in person or online via Zoom!
