Hello from your Piedmont Neighborhood Association!
It’s that time of year for our Annual General Meeting to hold elections for the PNA Board of Directors. If you’ve considered giving something back to your neighborhood, now is the time to make a difference and become a Board Member! All four Officer positions are open for interested candidates (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer) as well as a newly added Officer position: an NECN Representative. If you’re not interested in an Officer position, but really want to be on the Board to affect change, you may run as an At-Large candidate. To run for an Officer or At-Large position, please contact a current Board member or email your nomination or nomination of someone else to our Board of Directors (board@piedmontneighborhood.com) anytime up to and including the day of our Oct 17th meeting. Nominees will be offered a chance (in person at the meeting or online) to explain their qualifications and interest in running.
In our meeting, we will also provide the latest updates on important issues affecting our Piedmont Neighborhood, so please attend our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Oct 17 from 7p–9p at our regular location, Peninsula Park Community Center in the Fireside Room (700 N Rosa Parks Way) or remotely using Zoom. The meeting’s Agenda and Zoom link will be emailed a day prior to the meeting and will be posted on our website at piedmontneighborhood.com.
In the meeting, we’ll hold our elections and will also provide updates on many items, such as:
- Saving Rosemont Court
- Recent Gunshots near Rosemont Townhomes
- Upcoming City Elections
- NECN Board Elections
- Rosa Parks Memorial sign toppers
- Pickleball Courts at Peninsula Park?
We hope you will join us in person or online!
