Hello, Piedmont Neighborhood Association Members,
Some neighbors living near Rosemont Court were wondering what was going on, as they noticed a small excavator digging a trench in the front of RC to the east of the front door. Trell Anderson (Executive Director of NW Housing Alternatives) indicated that NHA was undertaking some soil remediation work that would last into mid-September.
Upon my request for further explanation, Trell responded, “Under any scenario (sale, refinance, redevelopment, new investment) a Level 1 Environmental Review is required. We did that, and it recommended some soil remediation. As we continue to work with the PHB and OHCS (to secure funding), we are just taking care of what was recommended, as we would be required to move anything forward.”
