PNA General Meeting Happening This Thursday 10/24

Please join us for an informative evening this Thursday! We will have two guest speakers joining our Fall PNA General meeting and now is the time to become a Member of the PNA Board of Directors!

Meeting Agenda:
7:00 PM ~ Welcome!
7:05-7:30 ~ Columbia/Lombard Corridor Mobility Plan
 – Bryan Poole, PBOT Project Manager, will share information and updates on the Columbia/Lombard Corridor Mobility Plan project and answer questions. The plan will address safety, mobility, and access for freight, active transportation, and public transit both along the corridor (east/west) and across it (north/south). The project area runs from Interstate Avenue to I-205 with a buffer area to include parallel routes. The project began in January 2019 and is expected to go to City Council in summer 2020. More details can be found on the website.

7:30-8:00 ~ How to Write Your Rant – Lisa Loving, longtime Portland journalist, News Editor at The Skanner, and host of KBOO Community Radio talk show, will share highlights from her journalism-related workshop “How to Write Your Rant.” Inspired by her latest book “Street Journalist: Understand & Report the News in Your Community,” she will share highlights about her workshop happening on Saturday, October 26th 11:00-1:00, at the King Neighborhood Facility. It will be a fun and fast-paced workshop on opinion writing for everyday people, teaching basic skills for critical analysis whether as public comment in a municipal process, a letter to the editor, or a viral social media post, to name a few. The workshop is open to all interested community members.
