2008 Spiffin Up Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard has among its goals to:

    • Remove trash, debris & graffiti from buildings, homes & lots along MLK Blvd and adjacent streets from NE Broadway to Lombard between NE Garfield & NE Grand.
    • Further form, reinforce, and capitalize on sustainable collaborative partnerships for this and other community events between NNEBA businesses,
Neighborhood Associations, faith-based organizations, non-profits, governmental
agencies, and other interested/impacted groups and individuals.
    • Continue to build collaborative capacity among participants to further develop and direct similar community activities.
    • Continue to engage under-represented groups and individuals in collaborative, community building activities.
    • Visibly and successfully demonstrate the breadth of diversity, collaborative opportunities, and sense of community.
